Who this review is for
This consultation is for employees in Germany who have an unclear holiday balance, changed working days, joined or left during a leave year, experienced a longer absence, or received conflicting information about expiry and carry-over.
It is particularly useful before a structured conversation with HR. It does not include representation in court, correspondence sent in our name, tax advice, or a binding legal opinion.
What is included
Before the meeting, you send the relevant clauses from your employment contract, the employer’s leave-year policy, your balance or payslip record, and key dates. We map statutory minimum leave separately from any additional contractual entitlement.
During a 75-minute private call, we work through:
- your normal working week and any changes to it;
- pro-rata calculations for starting or leaving mid-year;
- leave already taken and entries that need reconciliation;
- possible carry-over, expiry notices and relevant absence;
- questions to raise with HR or your employer.
Within two working days, you receive a concise written note summarising the calculation assumptions, unresolved facts and a practical sequence for the next conversation.
Preparation and boundaries
Please remove national identification numbers, bank details and unrelated medical information. Documents should be in English or German and total no more than 25 pages unless agreed first.
German leave law depends heavily on dates, contract wording and employer communication. If the documents indicate that a limitation period is close, a dismissal is contested, or formal representation is appropriate, we will recommend timely advice from a German-qualified lawyer. Signal Workhub consultations are informational and do not create a lawyer-client relationship.
Next step
Request a leave review with a short outline of your working pattern, leave year and the source of the disagreement. We will confirm suitability and offer appointment times before asking for documents.
